Part 4 - The Yarn
Why British Wool? A Palava Film Series
From the sheep in the field, through grading and washing, we've followed our British wool on quite a journey. Now, in our final chapter, we're visiting the spinners!
Our aim was to take wool from sheep close to our Yorkshire Hatchery and turn it into our very own yarn, using the manufacturing skills and facilities on our doorstep.
We've also added something rather special: recycled fibres from the leftover scraps of our Wool Blanket Project.
The result? A beautiful yarn scattered with little flecks of pink, blue, yellow and green. Something we couldn't have predicted when we started!
And while this is the final chapter of our film series, it's certainly not the end of our wool journey.
Now comes the exciting question: what shall we make with it?
Watch Part 4 as we discover how our wool becomes yarn and wonder where this project might take us next.
